How Cleanup Works
1. Review First
Before quoting anything, I look at the QuickBooks Online file to see how far back the problems go and what it will take to fix them.
2. Fix the History
Accounts are reconciled period by period. Duplicates are removed, uncategorized transactions are recorded properly, and balances are corrected.
3. Bring the Books Current
Once history is clean, the books are caught up to today. From there, most businesses move into monthly bookkeeping so it doesn’t happen again.
